Unused Content
List of removed and early development content from the Blinx series.
Weapons
TM-Gun
Model of a realistic pistol.
TM-MachineGun
Model of a realistic machine gun. Has a gun rest so it could have been intended to be placed on the ground.
TM-Bazooka
Identical to the Grenade Launcher. Was replaced by the BAZ-006.
TM-Bomb
Model of a realistic hand grenade. Could have worked as a space control.
Bin
Interally named 'beer'. Smashing beer bottles over a Time Sweeper's head would have bumped the game's rating perhaps just a little bit.
Laser Sight
Might have been a weapon attachment that functioned as an assist device.
Nekojara
Translates to 'cat toy'. Probably would have been as effective as the Slipper.
Characters
Unused character transmission portraits face_gs_00, face_gs_01 and face_gs_03 respectively, featuring an unused guard sweeper character with the traditional guard sweeper design but with an orange cap and orange jacket torso.
Unused Round 7 "Dimension X"
"Dimension X" (also previously refered to as "the 4th dimension")* is a supposedly unused round that was cut from Blinx: The Time Sweeper. This missing round was theorised by players as early as the year the game was first released.
The first piece of evidence is found on the back of the box. It states there are over 35 stages, but if there are only 8 rounds (3 stages and a boss) + the final boss, that's a total of 33 stages. The official Xbox page mentions "nearly 40 fantastical levels".
In the game folders, there are no resources named "round7". Everwinter's music track is internally named "round8", Forge of Hours "round9" and Momentopolis's track not named as a round, since that stage only consists of the Final Boss theme. So there's solid evidence that Dimension X was created then deleted later for unknown reasons.
Following the game's logic, the boss could have been an ameliorated manifestation of the octoballoon, which is the only time monster to not have a boss version.
* Dimension X is still not a dimension by any mean, it's a removed location in world B1Q64. I can guess that people called it "Dimension X" because it would be the "10th round" after Momentopolis. "The 4th Dimension" is what most call spacetime, the unification of time and space.
